COLUMBIA, SC - Tutelage School Solutions (TSS) is proud to welcome Brad Teague to its team as Director of Academics. In this newly established role, Teague will help strengthen and advance academic programming across the Tutelage network, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to academic excellence and its goal of helping every school become the top-performing school in its county.

As Director of Academics, Teague will lead academic strategy and support student achievement for more than 4,000 students across Tutelage’s six existing campuses, while building the strong academic foundation that will guide eight additional approved charter schools as the network continues to grow.

Teague brings more than 30 years of experience in education and school leadership to TSS. In his most recent roles, Teague served as School Director at Cherokee Charter Academy and Interim School Director at Greenwood Charter Academy, giving him firsthand experience leading schools within the TSS network and a strong understanding of the Tutelage curriculum and model.

During Teague’s leadership at Cherokee Charter Academy (CCA), the school earned significant local and national recognition. CCA was named “Best School” in the Gaffney Ledger’s 2025 Golden Peach Awards, and in 2026, was recognized by Education Insider as one of the nation’s top public charter schools. These distinctions reflect the school’s continued commitment to academic excellence, strong school culture and high standards for students.

Throughout his career, Teague has built a strong background in both academic and operational leadership, including overseeing school programs and operations, supporting instructional initiatives, and leading at both the school and district levels. This broad perspective will position Teague to work closely with TSS school leaders to identify opportunities for academic growth and provide support tailored to the unique needs of each school.

The addition of Teague as Director of Academics represents TSS’s continued investment in providing its schools with the leadership and resources needed to drive academic excellence and student success.
